Cape Town Beach Cleanup

For the last 5 years, Cape Town Beach Cleanup has hosted monthly community beach cleanups and removed over 100 tons of rubbish from Cape Town’s beaches. Beach cleanups run on the first Saturday of every month and last about 90 minutes. Bags and gloves are provided and everyone is welcome to join in.

It’s not just the Blouberg beachfront that gets their attention, beach cleanups take place across the peninsula and you will find them cleaning up the beaches in Gordon’s Bay, Fishhoek, Kommetjie, Muizenberg, Sea Point, Glencairn and Camps Bay to name a few.

But that’s not all they are about. This NPO is a group of enthusiastic people who are passionate about South Africa and it’s people. Cape Town Beach Cleanup organizes community events, sports events and assists communities and companies to grow by partnering with them on different projects. Their mission, to uplift and enrich through education, skills  development, sports participation, safety and security initiatives and environmental awareness, all through community involvement and job creation.

If you or your company would like to get involved and help support this worthy cause visit the Cape Town Beach Cleanup website for more detailed information on how you can get involved.
